This is the page dedicated to laying out the way my LAN operates. I will probably get some manner of map in here eventually.
The basic network appliances on this LAN consist of four switches, one of which runs the downstairs segment of my LAN and the other three of which sit upstairs with the majority of my computers. Presently I have two servers on the network as well, which can be seen in more detail here. Melchior serves as the router, DNS server (which both has its own DNS zone for local machines with static IPs, and serves as a relay to other DNS servers for external domain names), DHCP server, file server, and a network boot server for Sun Jumpstart, PXE, and Apple OpenFirmware clients. MAGI-2 is a Proxmox host, which runs a number of virtual machines for various uses.
