This website is dedicated to providing information on the Apple Power Macintosh G4 "Digital Audio". Released in January of 2001, this iteration of the Power Mac G4 line of computers was housed in the same case design as the previous models. It lacked an audio in jack, something the previous models had, but it did offer faster processor options as well as an increased number of PCI slots from its predecessors.
It was replaced by the Power Mac G4 "Quicksilver" in July of 2001, which was nearly identical, save for a few differences, including a new case design and processor speed upgrades as well as support for big drives in later motherboard revisions, among other enhancements.
Interesting Note: I actually have a Power Mac G4 Digital Audio that is in a Quicksilver case. I have yet to figure out why this is, but it is interesting nontheless.
