My X40 is one of my most recent additions to my collection. It has a 1.2GHz Pentium M processor and 1GB of RAM. It has a 40GB 1.8" IDE hard drive in it and runs Windows XP. I haven't been able to make any upgrades to this system, but I desire to max the RAM at 1.25GB or 1.5GB (depending on how much is soldered on to the motherboard) and give it a 128GB SSD somehow. Its name comes from Ayu Otosaka from the Charlotte anime.
This computer runs Windows XP and takes over some duties from MugiPad. Namely it is used with my calculators and also with my MIDI hardware. I need to use this computer because GS Advanced Editor (the software I use with my SC-880) is old enough that running it on Windows XP at most is likely wise. I would run older than XP, but this laptop came with XP on it and also my MIDI interface only has drivers for XP and up.
