This computer is, in many ways, functionally similar to my Power Mac G4 Digital Audio in the sense that it acts as a file server for my other computers. While not as permanent as the G4, I use this computer to host AFP, NFS, and FTP shares for my various computers and it comes in particularly handy with computers such as my Sun Ultra 5, where I sometimes need to transfer files I have downloaded on other computers to it.
I bought this computer in late 2021 because it was otherwise going to be sent to be recycled. Since then I have quite enjoyed using it and setting it up to fit my needs. Presently I have Mac OS X "Snow Leopard" and Windows XP dual booted on the internal drive and I have an external firewire drive that has Mac OS x "Tiger" installed on it. Eventually I would like to replace the HDD with an SSD and migrate the Tiger installation to the internal drive.
